Building at 2808 58 Street will now take donations of school supplies and
non-perishable goods to assist local residents in need. These donations will be distributed to the appropriate Gulfport entities to make sure they are used to benefit our neighbors. Please drop off items at the Chamber office between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. For more information call 344-3711.

Smoking Cessation Class to Start
LAST DRAG smoking cessation workshop starts Tuesday, February 9 at the Gulfport Recreation Center, 5730 Shore Boulevard S. Classes will be on Tuesdays and will meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The workshop will be for four weeks and each session will detail a specific area. Gulfport Historical Society Centennial Dance & Show (2:00 pm - 2:00 pm)
Gulfport Historical Society Centennial Dance & Show On February 26, 7:00pm, the Gulfport Historical Society will host a fun
evening at the Gulfport Casino, “100 Years of Music”. The popular
Bobby Tess group will perform. Reservations can be made for
tables of eight. Individual seating will be available on a first come first
serve basis. All tickets are $15 each. Free snacks, cash bar.
There will be a costume contest; come dressed in your favorite era.
Drawing for prizes will be held, including a three-day, two-night

The event is also a fundraiser for Get Rescued in Gulfport, a daylong doggie rescue event. It all takes place at Sea Breeze Manor, 5701 Shore Blvd. in Gulfport.

Get Rescued Celebration and Silent Auction Gulfport Casino, 5500 Shore Blvd., 7-11PM. A companion event to Get Rescued, after the dogs have gone to bed. Festivities include music and dancing, cash bar, hors d’oeuvres, opportunity drawings and silent auctions with a wide variety of items provided by Gulfport merchants and rescue supporters.
