Audition for “Cookin’ with Gus”

The Gulfport Community Players will be holding auditions for comedy,
“Cookin’ with Gus” on February 22 and 23 at the Players’ Back Door
Theater, 4919 17 Avenue S. in Gulfport. Auditions begin at 7 p.m.
sharp and will consist of cold script readings. All interested people are
urged to try out for a part in this very physical comedy, written by Jim
Brochu.The director for the play will be Judy Ryerson and she will need two
women, ages 40 to 60; one male, age 40 to 60; and another male of any age
for this fast-paced comedy riot. The players did this play about 10 years
ago, long before the City of Gulfport (or the Players) had any permanent
theaters. Even then, it sold out at all performances and the Players have
had many requests for a return of this great comedy. It’s got a little bit
of everything in it - comedy, drama, and even food fights! The play will run
from March 4 through March 14 at the Catherine A. Hickman Theater of Gulfport.
