How Safe is your Boat?

When was the last time you checked your fire extinguishers, made sure
that your visual distress signals were in date or even your (life jackets)
PFDs are in proper working order? All of these and more items are checked
in the Coast Guard Auxiliary Vessel Safety Check program. Coast Guard Auxiliary
Flotilla 7-16 will be doing vessel safety checks at the Gulfport Municipal Marina on
Sunday, May 23 at 8 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m. Come one and all for a free vessel
safety exam. If you can not make it to the Gulfport Marina for a vessel safety check,
then please call Don at 546-1514 or Jim at 322-1505 to schedule an exam.
