Chalk Art Contest

The Gulfport Recreation Division will be hosting a free Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest at the City of Gulfport’s 99th Birthday Bash on Saturday, October 10 at Chase Park (28th Ave. and 53rd St. S.). The chalk art contest will be from 4-6 p.m. with the winners announced shortly after. Registration begins at 3:45 p.m. Winners will be chosen in six grade categories: K-1; 2-3; 4-5; 6-7; 8-9 and 10-12. There will be gift certificate awards for each category winner. There will also be a tunnel/slide combo for the children to enjoy from 4-7 p.m. The City’s 99th Birthday Bash will be held from 4-9 p.m. with guided trolley tours, a mullet toss, live music, arts and crafts, flea marketers, hot dogs, a fish fry and free birthday cake.
